First I think this monitor deserved a better score than three and half stars from cnet.com. Eric Franklin always does this wobble movement test on monitors. I understand that a monitor needs to not only feel like it is made of high quality materials, but unless you live in a high earthquake area or have a lot of children running around knocking over stuff. I don't think he should take away from the monitor by hitting the side of it to test the movement of the monitor. I don't think people plan on knocking over there monitors. In the review he did for the HP w2408h he criticized the monitor's rotating feature because the picture did not rotate. First your PC, laptop or internet device has to have this feature or be able to use that feature for the picture to rotate. So I would say the monitor was not hooked up to a device capable of that. Most monitors don't rotate anyway or at least most people use regular monitors that may only lean forward, back, turn left and right or raise...Read more

I spent a long time browsing the web searching for the perfect Monitor/TV combo and could never find a product that excelled at both functions. Finally i stumbled upon this beauty. Once amazon had it back in stock (which saved me tax, shipping and the CA recycling fee) i ordered the FX2490HD. It arrived 2 days later and boy was i happy.
As other reviewers have said, right out of the box the color needs a bit of tweaking. Not too hard and definitely worth it to get a beautiful picture. Honestly looks better than the 50" Samsung at home. The PIP is a bit out of the way, but still a nice feature to have. I love the multimedia USB port and haven't found the viewing angles to be too bad, but i'm not picky about that. Haven't found anything i'm unhappy with, but an included HDMI cable would have been nice. Can't get everything i want i guess, but other than that i can truly say i am impressed and very satisfied with the product.

I have just got my new Samsung FX2490HD 24-Inch HDTV LED Monitor (Brown) up and running and what can I say - its KILLING! The picture quality in TV, browsing, Netflix, and such is stunning - it has tons of adjustable parameters, much more customizable and much more vivid, than most, or all monitor-TVs of its class - in few words, just amazing! The PIP is a treat too. I didn't even try movies yet so I believe its gonna be really beautiful - I want to buy a blu-ray player as well so I can't imagine how good its gonna look on this monitor. I am sure there are gonna be enough people out there finding stuff to complain about - this is missing, and that is not in the right part of the menu, and this is uncomfortable, but bottom line is, in my opinion - unless you're a pro working with visual content, such as pro-video and more so pro-photo...Read more
