I decided to give this Planar monitor a try even though I've always had monitors from other makers in the past. This seems to be a newer model, apparently introduced in November, 2011. At the time I decided to buy it, I had not been able to find any reviews on it since it was so new. I decided to buy it sight unseen however since even though I was unfamiliar with Planar products, I had found many very positive reviews of other Planar monitors. Furthermore, it was about $100 less than a same size (22") Dell monitor, another obviously attractive feature.
Although it is an LCD monitor and not LED as many of the newer monitors are these days, I can only describe the picture quality as stunning. I have it running on a Windows 7 system and the picture is clear, bright, and extremely sharp and the colors are vivid and brilliant. When I place my Dell 22" LCD flat panel monitor next to it, the Dell looks much less bright and vivid by comparison, even when set to full brightness. I...Read more

Price was much more reasonable than the high priced "namey" stuff. Out of the box the monitor looks great on and off. Noticed a couple of pixels were dark, that was kind of annoying. Overall is satisfactory.

Amazing picture. Would buy it again in a heart beat. Recommend this screen if you're looking for a cheaper great quality monitor.
