LG W2753V-PF 27-Inch Widescreen 1080p LCD Monitor (Gloss Black)

This monitor replaced an older, 22-inch LG I had used approximately to death. I was confident it would be a competent replacement; I'm sold on the LG brand.

Competent replacement? I'm sitting here in awe.

Large, sharp, bright, beautiful; and let's start with easy to install (Mac OS X automatically recognizes it with no additional drivers). It took longer to take the old one down than to set this one up. Literally, five minutes from fully-boxed to up-and-running.

Now, there is one caveat: as others have noted, the monitor comes ONLY with a VGA cable. The DVI cable I used on the old one swapped in easily enough; but if you don't have one, get one. VGA would probably not do it justice.

Still, I cannot recommend this monitor highly enough.

I bought this monitor to replace a Westinghouse of a similar size that was a bargain over a year ago, but it was not that great and was only really a upgrade for someone used to playing on small monitors.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this one after my previous experience, but it has worked perfectly so far. Its a high end monitor when it comes to what it can do. 50,000 :1 and a 2ms response time are great numbers. If you are a gamer this monitor is one of the best you can get without purchasing a expensive 30" monitor. Games and videos look great and the details on this monitor are far better than I have had on any other monitor in the past.

I have mine hooked up using the cable out of the box which is fine for me, but it does not come with any other cables or connections if you are looking to hook this up another way.

LG is really out front in providing a large wide screen monitor at the reasonable price.
It has many extra features and the color and resolution is outstanding. It is even better
than my 42" flatscreen Panasonic TV. For all those of you thinking of buying two monitors
to do your work, this is the only one you need.
