LG W2353V-PF 23" Widescreen LCD Monitor

I bought the LG 23" LCD monitor to replace an old 19" flat screen monitor. I would have preferred to order this through Amazon, but shipping was free by ordering it directly from one of the Amazon seller web sites (sorry Amazon - usually you have the better deal).

I was at first worried about ordering a monitor online due to concerns about shipping damage. But LG packages this monitor very securely - far more securely than the 42" widescreen TV I bought not long ago from a competitor. It is completely encased in Styrofoam, and my package arrived without so much as a nick in the box.

The package includes the monitor, a plastic stand, power cord, VGA connecting cable, and a CD with software and a digital manual. The brief printed instructions are useless. I shopped around for a new monitor for about 2 months. Trusting LG as a well known manufacturer, i decided to get this one. Talk about great 1080p resolution! Love the features that comes with it too, and the pictures are crystal clear. Dont forget the price, $200 is a great price for the size and its 1080p! Also love the touch panel buttons. My girlfriend loves The Sims 3 and it performs and looks great!

GOOD:
Large screen you get all 23"s in viewing area.
Excellent picture quality, tru HDMI
Good Looking
Didn't have to install software.
Energy efficient, sleeps when not in use.
Light weight and thin.

BAD:
Picture is horrible from computers that aren't HDMI
No speakers

Summary,
More than worth the money. Shows movies in excellent screen quality from my HDMI computer. Purchased a signal adapter and with the settings changed on my WII was able to use it with a darker picture than my TV. Signals that are not digital show up real dark on the screen (old laptop), so I WOULD NOT RECOMMENED UNLESS YOU PUT HDMI INTO IT. I now use it for my office and I never want to look at my laptop screen again as the picture is much better on this. Tried to use it for my deployment but because it is only good for HDMI. I had to purchase a chinese screen that worked well with my WII as my room was too small for two screens.
