This review is from: LG W2242P-BS Widescreen LCD Monitor - 22" - 1680 x 1050 - 16:10 - 5ms - 0.282mm - 8000:1 - Black (Electronics) We originally got this screen to replace a Apple Cinema Display that was fried by power surges in our office. It was for my coworker's Mac G5 and we were told it was compatible. Hers is a slightly older G5 (just prior to the intel chip added) and the display was definitely not working properly for her. All the type was blurry and she couldn't calibrate the colors properly. We couldn't return it bc we threw out the box by the time we figured this out so we tried it on my G5 (the kind with the intel chip). The text is fine, works great on my computer. I now have a dual monitor set up, with a Apple Cinema Display as my primary display. This monitor is a secondary display. If you are working with graphics I would not recommend using this for your only display because the colors are a little more blue (even when calibrated the same) than the Apple display. For color accuracy I have to work on the cinema display. On the love side, it is so close to what I want it to be: a nice big screen, and rotates to portrait mode, which gives me a page and a half worth of display, or like 50 dresses, depending on what I'm doing. I'm spoiled now and cannot go back. On the hate side, something is very, very wrong with the electronics in this thing. At the most crucial moments it just starts flipping out - turning itself on and off, and flipping between 4:3 mode and Wide mode in a matter of seconds. It will be fine one moment, and flipping out the next, making me feel very uncertain about what will happen! On the good side, the LG chat is great and they have been helping me - "Oh, unplug all wires and hold the power button down." "Oh - when you screen stops flipping out, go to menu and reset to factory settings."
