Generally my purchases have been problem-free, which is why I continued to go back to HP. However, this monitor -- which I am using with the Pavilion 6240 -- has been a problem. One issue is the integrated speakers, which are weak and lack sound volume & quality, imo. The second issue is more troubling. The screen picture always needs adjustment, especially after reboots and system changes/tweaks. The picture reverts to a horizontal picture that is slightly off-screen (horizontal right) and an off-kilter clocked image. This was a perfect match with my HP system. The only down side was there was no DVI cable that came with this monitor. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: HP W1858 18.5-Inch Widescreen Monitor (Personal Computers) I bought this to go with my new HP computer and it matches perfectly. The picture is crisp and clear. The sound is decent as long as you don't plan on using this screen for an entertainment center. Sometimes I've noticed that some of the movies that I watch are just a little too quiet and I'll have the screen turned all the way up as well as on the computer. But I love that you don't need speakers that take up extra space to have sound with your computer. so, for me, it equals out. |
