Product Review

The Eizo FlexScan SX2762W 27" LCD Monitor is a high def display with many attractive features. Not the least of which is the Eizo EasyPIX color matching tool for calibrating the monitor to match your prints with the colors you see on the screen. Consistent use of the calibrator will ensure beautiful photos and less frustration for the life of the monitor. Of course, speaking of calibration also brings up the color gamut of the SX2762W, which is certainly wide, reproducing 97% of the Adobe RGB color space. When it comes to ports, this FlexScan monitor has a DVI-D port and a DisplayPort, along with a mini DisplayPort for both digital and analog signals. The screen also features a 6ms response time that ensures movies are sharp and blur-free. Other important highlights include a swivel and tilt FlexStand for precise adjustment of the screen and brightness optimization. Preset modes, the on-screen button guide and color control also come to your aid for the best image possible.

This is High-end medical grade monitor costing around $4,600 - 3.2 years ago -only 7,900 hours use. Supposed to have 5-year warranty at 30,000 hours. Little quirks started at 3 years which I first thought was my graphics card...long story short it is this monitor. Contacted Eizo and sent them examples of issues. They responded it was definately a problem with their LCD monitor..BUT...at three years (10,000 hours) for these kind of problems have 3-year not 5-year warranty...and as a bonus...they do not make this FlexScan model anymore - so there is no "out of warranty" repair options available to me. OMG ! There are many monitor choices out there ranging in costs - certain needs require higher end monitors but I caution - before going to this kind of expense - read...Read more
