This product blows away the 2 Apple Cinema displays I've used as a tool for doing careful color work. The shadow detail is startlingly better. The illumination is absolutely even from edge to edge. The angle of view is very wide. There are no color shifts at the edges of the screen. There is a 5 year warrenty - much better than Apple's. I've used one for two years now, and the color is very stable - unlike the Cinema displays which had visibly deteriorated at the edges of the screen within two years. Both Apple displays developed yellow and magenta color shifts at the edges that eventually rendered them unusable. 23 of 24 people found the following review helpful: By Ardelle Cowie (Connecticut) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) I calibrate my monitors with an Eye One. The Eizo is the best I have ever seen or used. The blacks are really black and, in this respect, it is far better than my Benq P211. Pricey, yes; but the resolution, pixel size and color is top-notch! I researced this for a while and though the price is high, it is well worth it if you are a PRO. Here's my one gripe, and I think it is significant, and should be fixed by Eizo: You can't see the controls under (my) normal, low lighting conditions. It is not that dark in my work area; I can still read a book... You don't want to (have to) turn up the lighting to an un-natural condition when you want to calibrate or adjust the monitor. There is no backlighting for the buttons. The text is small (on a pretty flat black background) and with the illumination of the screen in your eyes, it is almost impossible to see the...Read more |
