I purchased this monitor because it was relatively affordable and I wanted a monitor so I could dual screen my laptop for doing programming homework. Although that is the main reason I purchased this monitor, I plan to use it for gaming here and there.

I received it today and it was very easy to setup (most monitor are). It looks very sleek, and has a small footprint if you have limited desk space (as I do.) So far it has great colors and depth to the picture. I went with Asus because it appeared they had the most reviews usually averaging to 4 or 5 stars (both on Amazon and Newegg.)

I gave it four stars because sometimes there appears to be a wavering in the screen. Usually when a large portion of the screen is taken up by a darker blue or green color. It isn't super noticeable, but it is definitely there. I'd be curious to hear if anyone else notices it.

I recently purchased a larger Asus VS series monitor less than a month ago, which I am very satisfied with. So when I saw this slightly smaller model on sale at Amazon, I couldn't pass it up. This monitor provides great picture quality in a sleek, compact package. There are a few cons, however. Probably the biggest drawback is that there is only one display connection, VGA. While most devices out there are still VGA compatible, it would be nice if it had a DVI port. For the price however, this is not a very big deal. The second con is the base, which is not as sturdy as it could be. All and all, considering the technology that is packed inside this monitor, and the incredibly affordable price, I give it an overall 4 out of 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone who's looking to upgrade their monitor.

Ordering was easy! It came quickly and fit well with our set up. It is sleek looking and works great! We have had it for a month and have not found anything to complain about.
