ASUS VH232H - 23" Wide (16:9) LCD Monitors - Black

I bought this monitor after reading other reviews on different websites, purchased it from Amazon because I had a gift card and because Amazon doesn't have a strict policy for dead pixels. This monitor is perfect, I upgraded from a 19" monitor and this was definitely worth the upgrade.

I got this monitor on the 26th of July, this monitor came with no defective pixels and had nothing wrong with it, and if I were to buy another monitor this would be it.

This monitor has been very well received by my family after our 8 year old 17" inch Sceptre brand LCD monitor burned-up on us. It was a month before Christmas and we needed a monitor for our Mac Mini. We needed something that would last and wouldn't ruin the Christmas budget.

After looking at the specs of a number of monitors, I decided on this one based on reviews here and on other sites. We have been very happy with the performance.

The display is bright and stable and works with our Mac Mini (late 2009 model) effortlessly.

The only points of improvement are the base and the manual programming buttons. The base, as noted by others, is a bit wobbly. It could stand to be a bit more rigid. As it is, the display seems to wobble slightly whenever the table is bumped. I don't think it's so weak that it will break off, but it can be a little annoying at times.

Crisp, clear, and big. Nice monitor. Hooked it up with an HDMI cable (purchased separately) and was able to use the built-in speakers as the HDMI pushes both video and sound. Speakers are fine if you don't pump music out of your computer. 23 inches was plenty, and 24 inches didn't seem to offer much more when compared side-by-side at the store. Didn't need to tweak factory settings too much, just adjusted brightness some. Very happy with monitor.
