This monitor works quite well. Color rendition is great. It has an old style VGA connector and a DVI connector (and power). There is NOT an external power 'brick', just a power cord. The menu system is a little odd, but I don't use it that often. It does have a one touch button to switch between presets for gaming, web browsing, movies, whatever. These presets work fine and are easy to access.

Overall, a great monitor. Very sharp, no pixel issues on mine, had it about a week.
