Unlike most other wide screen monitors on the market, this LCD has the ability to pivot 90 degrees changing its landscape aspect ratio to a portrait aspect ratio.
The display looks bright and sharp in both orientations. The change from one orientation to the other requires a bit of user input, either by hitting a key-combination or by choosing the desired rotation setting from a menu. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Similar model numbers but not the same item. Acer needs to do a better job of differentiating its models.
Amazon was easy with the return but I wasted about two hours in the process. I did set up the cheaper/non-tilt model and the picture looked fine but re-packing everything and getting to the post office had not been in my plans. It might be a good idea to call this order in. You might get what you wanted without the return cycle. I have been working in a computer lab with Acer monitors and thus far, they have performed well.
