The ACER 19" series of TN LCDs is generally a very good value. The products are, in this iteration, easy to assemble and disassemble with the new base attachment design. The screen quality is consistent and usefully bright enough for business applications. As a TN an not higher quality IPS/PVA type panel, it isn't great for movie watching, but it's okay. Hookup is easy because there is good clearance for thumbscrews. Suggest you attach cables before snapping in the base plate though. BE AWARE that the inputs on THIS iteration are 13-pin D-Sub (VGA) ONLY, No DVI for YOU !! But it WILL work if you use your DVI-to-VGA adapter at the back of the PC. I've bought several of the ACERs, across several seasons, and it seems each time the model is very slightly different. Recommended, best value, in this price range.

This is a great find for those who really hate the newer "wide" monitors. The 4:3 aspect ratio is still the best for many people using desktop apps. We use two of these per desktop and with Windows 7 they really do the job for stock traders, imaging, and especially Web developers (development IDE on one side, results on the other). The downside is that the speakers are really inadequate for all but the most primitive needs (like Windows alert sounds).

Just as I want it, a big regular screen for big pictures. I hate those wide screens.
Works as it suppose to, good pictures and good color, no problem.
