I needed a new monitor because my old one couldn't handle high def. movies etc. After purchasing a Blue-ray DVD drive I needed the monitor to play Blue-ray discs ie. HDCP supported. I was attracted to Acer monitors from looking at them in local retail stores. When I got this monitor I was amazed. It fulfilled all my expectations (of course a graphics card that handles HD material is necessary). Set-up was a snap. All the content on my computer was sharp with bright colors. I played a Blue-ray movie and it was phenomenal. I am very happy with this purchase. Thank you Acer and thank you Amazon.com for making the order & shipment hassle free and simple. By the way, to really enjoy the quality of this monitor be sure you have a graphics card that has digital video ability ie. DVI with HDCP support. There were only two reviews of this monitor on Amazon when I bought it. One gave it three stars because it's not VESA mountable--even though that isn't an advertised feature. The other gave it only one star...because they couldn't find the power button! Since there wasn't a "real" review on Amazon I checked out Newegg where there were three reviews--and all were five "egg" reviews too. Newegg also listed two other very similar and similarly-priced monitors, the Acer S211HL bd 21.5-Inch Widescreen Ultra-Slim LED Display - Black and the Acer S220HQL 22" Class Widescreen LED HD Monitor. Amazon didn't have much information on this monitor on its website. I checked a couple other websites which indicated that this monitor was VESA compatible (which it was not, I found this out when I opened mine up).
Pros
-High quality screen (colors "pop" text is crisp etc)
-thin bezel
-Great price
Cons
-NOT VESA COMPATIBLE!!!!
Props to Amazon for processing my return without a hitch.
