NEC's MultiSync LCD2070NX-BK-2 is an excellent monitor. Nearly every consumer monitor that I've seen in retail stores pales in comparison. Color is excellent. Text is so good--even small fonts--that it's hard to believe it's not a CRT. The viewing angles are wide, especially the vertical. I'd recommend this monitor to anyone. It's not cheap, but it's worth it. Most monitors with a screen this nice cost more than $1000!

If you want to see and edit your photographs in their true colors and resolution, this is the monitor for you. I read the reviews on the photographic sites, and they were right. The NEC beats out the ViewSonic, the Acer, the Samsung, the Dell and all the rest. It is also a relaxing, detailed monitor for the other stuff: web browsing, emailing. I don't do games, so cannot comment on that. I am so glad I spent the extra to get the best. So far I have not tried any calibration; out of the box it seems right on.
