This was a decent monitor for the money. There aren't many 19" non-widescreen (4x3 ratio) monitors left, so if you like the more classic shape, you might like this. It uses PVA crystals, which are "mid-class" -- much better than the TN crystals most crappy monitors have, but not as good as the IPS crystals of high-end monitors. This means the viewing angle is fairly wide, and the colors fairly accurate -- unless you're looking at dark colors straight-on, in which case they desaturate and look almost black (a known drawback of PVA crystals). The best aspect of PVA crystals are the deep blacks, better than even IPS perhaps; the worst aspect is slow response time, although I'm not a gamer so I don't care.

The manufacturer classifies this as a "business class" monitor, better than the typical TN consumer garbage, but not a high-end, graphic-arts-grade monitor.

I bought two of these for my dual monitor setup. The price was really good. The stands are completely adjustable which is really important to good ergonomics (no neck pain!) and the screens are excellent.

To lower price, adjustable stands are on their way out. That's too bad because a lot of people wind up looking at the monitor from a poor viewing position.

In addition, all the manufacturers are making wide monitors which suck for dual monitor setups and a lot of apps except watching DVD's on a tiny computer screen.

Once I got the first 2 in and tested them for a few days, I ordered 3 more.

I don't do critical color work so the screen colors, etc are just great. If I were doing high end graphics or photo jobs I would have bought the Nec LCD1990SX-BK 19-Inch 1500:1 LCD with DVI for $150 more.
